14 August 2008 in UncategorizedHello my friends and family. Sorry I kinda dropped off there right after getting started with this whole new blogging thing
I finally just had to take time today to share some of the incredible blessings God has brought our way. This week has been filled with some really neat surprises. Our weekend started off with a visit from a wonderful friend of ours, Kevin Cutright. He and his wife and six year old son had just adopted the most beautiful new born baby boy named Ethan. Kevin also had just completed a wonderful Harley ride with his dad and brother. He needed to get the Harley home to New York so he spent a night at our house. We were thrilled to spend some time with him. Kevin and Amy Lynn have always been a real inspiration to Tom and myself. They truly live their lives “COMPLETELY” dedicated to Jesus. It is always so challenging in our own lives to live more closely in tune with HIM.
As the week took off then and life became busy and crazy again we hadn’t gone to far and God revealed Himself to us yet again by helping us to secure a very low interest rate on the medical debt that we are still carrying from the past year and a half of dialysis. We praise HIM for the wonderful job that Tom has, allowing me to stay home right now with Braedon. This has aided greatly in me being able to fully recover from a lot of the fatigue and weariness that was slowly consuming me. I am blessed to be able to do Home Dialysis at this time while I wait on a kidney for transplant. This brings me to blessing number three, and we are only to Wednesday at this point. I received the call from the Indiana University to meet with the transplant team. I have been assigned one of the top transplant physicians in the world, Dr. Taber, and I get to meet him next Wednesday at 0930
I had totally began to think that my paperwork had been lost and transplant seemed like a closed door. Just leave it to me be jumping to conclusion, when God had it all in control after all. After dancing and nearly shouting all afternoon, I had a wonderful evening with dear Tom, celebrating 14 crazy happy years of marriage. Tom has stood by my side literally through the thick and thin. Never once making me feel anything but the perfect wife for him. So many men would have run as far as they could have gotten away after that first sick episode 10 years ago. I praise God for blessing our marriage with a love that is strong enough to weather the storms. We’re ready for a lot of calm weather GOD
Our little son, Braedon is also always shining through with God’s love beaming out of his little life in so many ways. He is always reaching out and reminding Tom and me to talk to God about it, or “let pray mommy” “Jesus is always with you”.. How can you doubt that!!
I would like to point out two scriptures this day that have been special to me for as long as I can remember.
For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me in earnest, you will find me when you seek me. I will be found by you,” says the LORD. “I will end your captivity and restore your fortunes. I will gather you out of the nations where I sent you and bring you home again to your own land.” –Jeremiah 29:11-14
Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will direct your paths. Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the LORD and turn your back on evil. Then you will gain renewed health and vitality. Proverbs 3:5-6
Well, there it is. I hope sharing God’s Blessing will encourage someone this day. I’ll catch up again with you all soon.
