November 2
2 November 2009 in UncategorizedI know I know, it is unbelievable that I am posting again so soon. I just have so much to pass along this week I thought I’d do it here. After weeks, months, and even years now of waiting for a kidney transplant we are down to the week in which we should here if my angel Mary is a match. This is how the week will play out. Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. she will receive a UPS package to take to her doctors that afternoon and get some blood work drawn. Then overnight that will be shipped to Indianapolis to IUPUI to be tested against my blood sample. We should receive a phone call with a “Match” on Friday. At that point we can schedule surgery ASAP. We are trying to believe and trust that this miracle will take place this week. It has just seemed that too many things have just worked out in this to just be a coincidence.
There is no way to describe that feeling you get inside, when you think that someone is willing to give a part of them self to you. The gratefulness in my heart is unmeasurable. I am blessed and privileged to have life today. I do not ever want to take that for granted. So many times over the years I am afraid I have.
Well, we have survived the H1N1 at our house. Our little guy was so sick last week. He still is weak and needs a lot of rest but we have made good head way toward health again. He misses his little school and all his friends. I am weary of washing all the bedding every day and wiping the walls at his level down with disinfectant everyday. Tom and I are so grateful that we have escaped it. However poor Tom has had a terrible toothache in it’s place. He is in the process of getting a root canal and they found infection so he has had to be on antibiotics and pain med this past week. Hopefully they can get that tidied up this week. Tomorrow to be exact!
Our little spider man tried so hard to hold his head high for Halloween. He only made it to a few houses and daddy got to carry him home. He had so looked forward to it, it was sad to see him in that condition. He made a valiant effort though. I do not think he has even thought about the candy again. Hot tea and toast is that name of the game right now. Oh yes, ginger ale as well.
Well, I will post more as details unfold this week. Love to all!
