24 May 2010 in UncategorizedI am so sorry that it has been so long since I have posted. I cannot control life’s circumstances and somehow things just flew into crazy mode the past few months. It all started with a ear infection that moved into a sever sinus infection, then that trigered a lupus attack (exciting the hemolytic anemia that I have struggled with for years). I became very fatigued and you would think that the first thing to cross my mind would be that my blood counts might be low, but for some reason I was preoccupied and didn’t think that. When it was finally found out my hemoglobin had dropped to 5, normal 11-16 for a woman. I received a blood transfusion and thought that would been enough, but then the fever hit. So, off to the hospital we went and yes the infection had gone septic AGAIN.
Thankfully at this point I have made a full recovery and our little family is back into our normal routine once again. I just wanted to say thank-you to all the friends and family who have reached out to us over the past weeks. You have no idea how much your calls, letters, cards, and visits have ment.
My transplant has been moved from June 2nd to August 6th. We are going to cruise quietly through the summer and hopefully go right through the transplant without a hitch. Or at least that is our plan!
Again, I am so sorry that I have neglected posting. I will try to be more regular, now that things have settled down.
Bethany

So glad you are home with your family! It was great to talk to you the other day. I am praying for you and missing you every day. Sure wish we could have more of those playdates this summer! I’m still hoping to come visit for the big day in August!
We have all had you on our heart and minds and will continue to pray for an uneventful 7 weeks. Love to you all from your Colorado family.
