27 August 2010 in UncategorizedWell, first week of school almost completed. I must admit that this week has had its challenges. I found out very soon that I was going to have a lot of time on my hands if I didn’t purposely keep myself busy. So, I set out with a plan. In a few weeks I will start a Women’s Bible Study at our church so that will help a lot. This week however, I decided to tackle some projects about the house. Our plan was to hire someone to paint our hallway to and by the bedrooms, because neither Tom or myself particularly like to do trim work. A hallway has a lot of trim, let me just tell you. Well, I got the bright idea that I could save us several hundred if I just did it myself. Well, I am proud to say that the job is complete! It looks great too!:) We went from a pale yellow color to a nice Antique white. Looks beige to me.
Braedon is doing great in school. The little guy is so funny. He is very forthright with info about all the things that happen at school. He has even openly confessed being in two fights, and having to set on the bench during lunch was no fun. I hope and pray that he is always free to share these events with us. He has the funniest way of holding his head and looking down cast at the floor while stating ”I was in a big fight today at school. My one friend started pulling on my other friends shirt and I told him to stop and he didn’t so I pushed my one friend and we all ended up on the floor in a pile.” “The teacher said I should have just come to her”. ”There wasn’t time mom!”. Well, all I can say is glad I’m not the teacher!:) So week one, we have firmly put in place the rule, trouble at school = consequence at home! We’re in kindergarten mind you! He did learn his memory verse very well, and quickly, I will add he is doing great overall, I just wanted to share the little incident.
We have finally had a big break in the heat! Oh, the heat was unbearable this summer. They say on the radio around here that it was the hottest summer since 1871. I wouldn’t know for sure of course, but I sure am not ready to break anymore records any time soon. At least not until I have a car with AIR! Cool air that is! Well, I have some paperwork to do today. You know the whole payday/budget day. I kinda enjoy that kinda work though. I also find out today about a class or two I maybe able to take in September at the hospital, to renew my Biotherapy/Chemotherapy Certificate and CRP/BLS Certification. I want to be all ready to work as soon as I can post transplant. I should hear more about the date today.

That is too cute about Braedon’s little fight. What a guy to stick up for his friend! What Bible study are you doing? I am doing one on Jonah that starts mid-Sept. You need to post pics of your painting. I bet that was fuN!
I loved the story of Braedon’s confession. So sweet and sincere.
